We
have celebrated the year of youth in the prestigeous Rijksmuseum
(state museum) in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. At this exposition,
we presented photographs, paintings, wood, poetry, ceramics,
fabrics, sculptures and visual images of the African Music
Festival.
" The Amsterdam photographer Maya Pejic mainly works
in developing countries. She has made a fantastic series of
photographs on the subject of "youth of the '80s in Africa"
on request of the department of Dutch History State Museum

The African Expo
is an art exhibition, featuring the finest painters, sculptors
and potters in an exhibition of ancient and contemporary African
designs and creative formations. Ranging from the natural
to plastic arts, mud paintings and designs, nature arts using
environmental-friendly material is displayed in combination
with the art object concepts of past, present and future.
A panorama of art collection from the great painters including
the doyen of African arts, the legendary Momodou Ceesay, from
The Gambia, the genius Mor Faye from Senegal and the Momodou
Camara, the art deco icon from The Gambia. The art exhibition
is also an Art Trade Fair promoting fair trade of arts and
art objects from Africa for collectors and for educational
purposes. You can sell and buy art, participate in painting
workshops, African cloth weaving, hand-made clothes, beads
and articrafts promoting women in the arts and to raise education
about the environment and ecological awareness.
